Sherington School UpdateThe children have settled in very well to the new school year and have enjoyed using some new resources in their provision lessons. Our topic this half term is Me and Where I Live and we enjoyed visiting Sherington High Street and finding out what the high street used to be like before electricity. Who knew that Sherington once had 5 pubs, a bakers, clock shop and a bottling plant that made lemonade and ginger beer! Last week we welcomed back our parents to our Friday Family reading session and it was lovely to see so many parents and the children enjoying sharing a book together. We are looking forward to a trip next month with our friends from Newton Blossomville and Stoke Goldington school to the MK Museum to enhance our history learning. Kirstin BeardshawLead Teacher and KS1Sherington CE SchoolMacmillan coffee morning - A BIG THANK YOUThank you so much for all the kind donations of cakes & raffle prizes and all the help on the day. The event raised %u00a3937.50 from the sales of the cakes and coffee for Macmillan, the raffle made an amazing %u00a3543.50 that is going to Willen hospice. Both charities were very close to Alan. He would of been chuffed to see the amount of support from the villagers and surrounding villages. Thanks again everyonePAGE 29
